Toronto home prices and sales continued to hit records in September as pent-up demand and historic low borrowing costs pushed prices up 14 per cent to $960,772 across all housing types, including condos in the GTA.

The demand is on detached homes as the pandemic inspires some people to leave downtown core. Read full TREB report here

Home sales last month were at record levels in the Hamilton area, both in number of sales and prices. Sales of single-family homes were up 40 per cent in September compared to the same month last year.  The surging demand led to tighter supply, with the number of listings down 10 per cent from September 2019.
